Description :
The San Diego Star of India is the oldest active ship in the world. Created at Ramsey Shipyard within the Isle of Man in 1863 when iron ships were mere experiments, the Star of India set to sea after a brief five months under the original name Euterpe, after the Greek goddess of music. Today, the Star of India is a historic symbol of San Diego, representing a triumphant age of adventure and the tales of our city's great success.
