In honor of Earth Day, the 19th Annual Earth Fair in San Diego took over Balboa Park on Sunday, April 20. Earth Works, the association responsible for San Diego Earth Fair, organized an array of green entertainment options including booths demonstrating the latest in eco-consciousness inventions, live music, art and of course, food.

On March 29, 2008 the National Foundation for Autism Research (NFAR) held its fourth annual San Diego Race for Autism at the magnificent Balboa Park. This Race with a purpose has been an increasing success every passing year, attracting over 2,500 participants from the Southern California region.
